I live in the prairie pothole region of North Dakota and very often can shoot my limit of ducks and geese most days. I love goose and duck hunting in North Dakota. Before I was married, I used to spend 4 to 5 mornings every week in October chasing waterfowl with my black lab. I was extremely successful back then, and usually had a few birds cleaned and ready to eat before heading to work. Nowadays, with a busy life, a wife, and 9-year-old daughter, I usually am able to get out and hunt one full day every week. An early morning filled with the sound of honkers, then having them appear over a distant tree line and veering toward me is magical. And I absolutely love creating new duck recipes and goose recipes for all of you.
This collection of duck recipes and goose recipes includes soups and stews, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, appetizers, and main dishes. And they've all been tested and approved by my wife and 8-year-old daughter. That way you can be confident in using some of that precious wild game from your waterfowl hunt in one of these family-friendly recipes on a busy weeknight or a lazy weekend.
Be sure and subscribe to the weekly newsletter and I'll send you a new wild game or fish recipe every week.
