Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 pound ground deer, antelope, elk, or moose
  • 1 green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 yellow onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add venison and brown, breaking apart into crumbles as it cooks, about 5 minutes. 
  • Add onion and bell pepper to same skillet and cook 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  • Add brown sugar, tomato paste, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cumin, and pepper. Stir well to combine and continue to cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat and serve over toasted buns with chips and dill pickles. Don't forget the chips and pickles with your venison sloppy joes!!
